Are You Wondering How To Join Our Yoga Studio?

Classes are ongoing. Just check the schedule page of our website and pick a class that is suited to your level of practice; show up a few minutes prior to the start of class and you'll be on your mat before you know it!

You'll want to bring along your own yoga mat (we have mats for sale if you need one), possibly a towel (Definitely a towel if it's a heated class!) and a bottle of water to hydrate yourself, if you desire.

It's important to arrive a few minutes before class begins. Our classes start and end on time so late arrivals for class can be disturbing to students already in the flow.

Let the teacher know before class begins, if you have any physical limitations due to injury or any other medical condition that may be relevant to your practice.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call 722-8400. It's a good chance no one will answer the phone due to classes in session or Reiki appointments. Don't hesitate to leave a message and Michael will get back to you at his earliest convenience.

Yoga Studio Etiquette

We have this amazing, healing center with all sorts of personalities and reasons for attending our classes. By bringing some mindfulness, we can ensure a comfortable environment for everyone.

Arriving for class
You should arrive several minutes before class begins so you can settle in. Classes start on time at Healing Hands and the door is locked when the practice begins. I've had several salesman walk in during my classes and it is disturbing to the flow. When you enter the studio, please be mindful as you transition into our Sacred Space. We have no private reception area so students may already be on their mat and connecting to breath. If you feel the need to have a conversation before class, please do it respectfully, in a quiet voice. I welcome students who wish to socialize after class to enjoy our space!

Cell Phones
On a few occasions, students have entered the studio still in conversation on their cell phones...because of our open area, please finish all calls
outside before entering the studio. Cell phones should be off, as well as all alerts. Thank you.

Fragrances
Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or body lotions with fragrance to class. Some students may have allergies or breathing disorders that are triggered by this (I'm one of them) and a strong scent can be distracting to others during practice, as well.

Eating before class
Eat lightly before class. It's not wise to practice on a full stomach! A small snack an hour or so before class will hold you over. Also, keep yourself well hydrated by drinking water before and after class. And If you're attending one of our heated classes, you'll want to bring along a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated during the practice. (Water is welcomed in all of our classes!)

Wellness notification
Because of our unique savasana experience where I share the energy with students at the end of some classes, it would be appreciated if any student who has a cold or feels like they are coming down with something, inform me before class. Under those conditions, I won't be placing my hands on you until you are well. This will ensure the health of the other students. (This doesn't mean I won't be sharing the energy with you. This transfer can happen at a distance, too!)

Being in yoga community is very important to me. For us collectively, sharing breath, movement and prana,
is our deep sense of community. Yet there is something very powerful in stillness and our moving meditation; an inner connection and solitude that each one of us finds in the breath. Respecting each person's journey on their path, is a practice in mindfulness. Bringing mindfulness to all areas of our lives, is the gift of yoga.
